Rogation Days are an ancient observance that has been part of Church tradition for more than 1500 years. They are a time of fasting, prayer, and processions. There is a theme of supplication running throughout the ceremonies. The reason behind this is the appeasement of the anger of God and to avert the punishment of His justice, as well as praying for a bountiful harvest.
